FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE July 2, 2026

Summary:

SWORN released a statement praising the Supreme Court’s ruling on single-sex spaces but criticizing its decisions on birthright citizenship and post-Election Day mail-in ballots. The group called for all votes to be counted by Election Day’s end and urged the Ohio legislature to override Governor DeWine’s veto on absentee ballot voter ID.

SWORN reaffirmed its support for candidates who uphold the Constitution, defend Life, Liberty, and the pursuit of Happiness, secure borders, and oppose socialist policies ahead of the November elections.

Press Release:

Two hundred fifty years ago, Americans fought and sacrificed everything to secure a nation built on individual liberty and limited government. Today, SWORN stands firm in defense of those principles against mounting threats — including the influence of socialist policies that erode personal freedoms and concentrate power in ways never intended by the Founders.

We appreciate the Supreme Court’s decision to protect boys’ and girls’ bathrooms and single-sex spaces. However, we are extremely concerned about the ruling on birthright citizenship because of the serious harm it could cause our nation. We are also deeply disappointed that the Supreme Court has allowed mail-in ballots to be accepted after Election Day. All votes should be counted by the end of Election Day — no exceptions. Several other recent rulings likewise fail to reflect the original meaning and intent of the Constitution and our founding documents.

These developments underscore why the November elections are critical. We must elect leaders who will restore fidelity to the Constitution, secure our borders, and protect the integrity of our elections. The Senate’s refusal to pass the Save Act has left dangerous vulnerabilities in place. In Ohio, the legislature must override Governor DeWine’s veto and require voter ID for absentee ballots to close loopholes that could enable fraud.

SWORN is fully committed to supporting candidates up and down the ballot who champion the original meaning of the Constitution, defend Life, Liberty, and the pursuit of Happiness, oppose the expansion of socialist policies that threaten our freedoms, and put the security and sovereignty of the United States first. We will not accept institutions that deliver only partial or inconsistent results on these core issues.

This November, we call on voters to join us in choosing leaders who will safeguard the republic our founders established.
